MMAS Summer Camps for Kids!
MMAS Kids on Stage summer drama camp is a program for any child who enjoys the creative outlet that only theater can bring. Whether your child has on-stage experience or just experience cracking up the family, this camp will be a great fit. Campers will be introduced to many aspects of theater, including theater games, improvisation, warm-ups, concentration exercises, voice and diction, terminology, audition skills, and more. Each session is truly tailored to its participants. If we have a group of campers really into improv theater, our emphasis for the week will be on that with other skills mixed in. Because each session is individualized to its participants, more than one session can be taken. In fact, if a camper does take more than one session, they may very well be helping to teach warm-ups and games to new campers! Each session will end with a showcase in the MMAS Blackbox Theater for parents, family and friends by the campers. The showcase will be comprised of whatever skills the campers focused on that week, monologues, improvisational comedy, an original play or all of the above!
WHO:
Awesome kids ages: 8-12 Note: Although this may seem like a large age range, the older campers mentor the younger ones, and the younger campers have someone to look up to. Time is spent ensuring that an atmosphere of kindness, respect and teamwork is present at all times.
Instructor: Kelly Warriner, Mansfield Public School teacher for 10+ years, BA in Theater/Directing from Trinity College, Masters of Arts in Teaching from Simmons College and Masters in Creative Arts and Learning from Lesley University. Directed, performed and taught theater for MMAS since 1998.

Session Four:
July 30th – August 3rd from 9-12
Showcase on Friday 8/3 starting at 11:30
Class Fee: $150 for the week. (only $135 for MMAS Members)
