Perfect for young actors who love theatre, even if they have no experience with Shakespeare – especially so, in fact! While Shakespeare’s plays are often presented as challenging, The Play’s The Thing will explore Shakespeare’s plays the way they were originally intended: in sound and movement, no reports or dictionaries necessary!

Featuring a variety of scenes and monologues across Shakespeare’s body of work, students will learn tricks to understanding and enjoying these plays in any context. Kids with a passion for theatre will spend a week exploring some of the most powerful texts in the English language and gain a fresh and energized appreciation for Shakespeare through improvisation, group discussion, and creative exploration of his texts.

The Play’s The Thing will conclude in a final performance certain to delight family and friends.
