Comedian/actor Steve Sweeney returns to MMAS Black Box Theater
with his one-man show, Steve Sweeney: Townie.

Sweeney’s keen dialect and character skills have made him a key figure on Boston’s cultural landscape. Sweeney was raised in hard-scrabble, colorful
Charlestown, and has carried its influences with him through a career that’s included nearly 25 films, national television appearances, radio
hosting, and thousands of nights headlining Boston’s best comedy clubs. In his one-man show, he regales his audiences with stories from his life-long
journey, to the backdrop of neighborhoods, the old Boston Theater District, and other landmarks.

Sweeney has been a featured on major television shows including *David Letterman*, *Evening at the Improv*, *Comics Come Home* and *Comedy
Central,* and starred in his own Boston-based sitcom, *Park Street Under*. His trademark political satire has earned him top host spots on Boston
radio stations 100.7FM WZLX (*Sweeney’s Neighborhood*) and 95.9FM WATD (Jay Mohr and Opie & Anthony.)

Steve appears with a special guest, comedian Dave Rattigan, who performed at MMAS on New Year’s Eve 2017.

In addition to MMAS, Rattigan has performed at the Cape Cod Melody Tent, South Shore Music Circus, Fenway Park, and at bowling alleys, shopping mall food courts, hospitals, a library, in the lobby of an office, and a fishing dock (while a boat unloaded behind him). His CD (*Dave Rattigan: Thinks
He’s Funny*) has received airplay on Sirius satellite radio and other stations and podcasts, and his video clips run on and He’s made three appearances on the syndicated *Steve Katsos Show*, and lent his voice to the animated *Drill Booth*, scheduled for 2019 release. He’s performed in Ireland at the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny, and at the Hampton Beach (NH) Comedy Festival, the Boston Comedy Festival, and the Women in Comedy Festival.
