Shakespeare’s The Tempest

The Tempest tells the story of the magician Prospero, once the Duke of Milan. He and his daughter have spent years trapped in exile on a desert island, alone except for the magic creatures who serve them.  As the play begins, Prospero, longing for revenge, creates a storm that shipwrecks his enemies on his enchanted island.  What follows is magic indeed!

In this contemporary retelling, set in the ruins of an Aztec temple, audiences will experience Shakespeare’s play as originally intended – through the expression of sound and movement. Directed by Steve Dooner
