“Scrooge’s Christmas” Roles Still Open

The MMAS Black Box Theater is holding one last round of auditions for Scrooge’s Christmas, an intimate and ensemble-based version of Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol, adapted by Ken Jones.

Auditions will be held on Wednesday October 3rd from 7-9pm at 888 South Main Street, Mansfield MA directly across from the Xfinity Center.
This is a true ensemble piece, and all actors will be on stage for most of the show.

If you are unable to attend the October 3 audition but are interested in auditioning, please email Fred to arrange an alternative audition time.

Synopsis: In Ken Jones’ adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic tale, A Christmas Carol, a group of actors portray all the characters of this Christmas tradition. The ensemble provides the songs and sounds as the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is confronted by the Spirits of Past, Present, and Future.

Depending on cast availability, rehearsals will largely be scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from
7-9:30 p.m. and Sundays from 5-8:00 p.m. beginning after a final cast has been secured. Typically this takes up to 2-weeks following the initial audition. Tech week will run from Dec 2-5th with shows starting on Dec 6th and running through Dec 16th.

Performance dates are Dec 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 13th, 14th, 15th, & 16th. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30pm. Sunday performances are at 2:00pm
